Coaching Honors: Had a tournament record of 31-15 with 9 Sectional Championships, 7 Regional Championships, and 2 Semi-state Championships; held Sectional and Regional Championships in 3 classes; 2nd Runner-up Region 9 Coach of the Year in 2000, 1991, 1989, and 1988; Region 9 Runner-up Coach of the Year in 1990 and 1987; Region 9 Coach of the Year 1992 and 1986; Big 8 Conference Championships 1992, 1991 (co-champs), 1989, 1988; head coach of North/South All-Star game in 1993 and assistant coach of North/South All-Star game in 1988 and 2002; presenter at Evansville Coaches Association Football Clinic 1992 and 1987; first head coach for Hardee's Football Classic (Region 9 All-Star Game) 1990; Evansville Courier and Press Co-Coach of the Year 1988; 4 undefeated seasons in 2001, 1992, 1989, and 1988.
