Scholarship Guidelines
Six $1,000 college scholarships – one per football class – will be awarded to graduating seniors who played football on IHSAA sanctioned teams during the 2023-24 school year.
Eligible Candidates
Each IHSAA member school may nominate a graduating football player as a candidate.
The candidate must have the recommendation of the high school administrator and head coach.
The candidate should intend to play football in college, but not a requirement.
Recipient
Will be the graduating senior achieving the highest ranking from the criteria requested on the nomination form.
The Scholarship Committee of the Indiana Football Hall of Fame will be the selection committee. It is important that all criteria on each nominee’s application is accurate and thorough. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Criteria for Submission of the Nomination Form
MUST BE COMPLETED AND SIGNED BY THE HEAD FOOTBALL COACH.
MUST HAVE TRANSCRIPT OF HIGH SCHOOL GRADES THROUGH THE FIRST SEMESTER, OR SECOND TRIMESTER OF SENIOR YEAR ATTACHED AT THE TIME NOMINATION IS SUBMITTED. (WE MUST KNOW IF GRADES ARE WEIGHTED).
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FROM THE HEAD COACH AND AT LEAST ONE OTHER SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR MUST ACCOMPANY APPLICATION. A LETTER FROM THE NOMINEE’S GUIDANCE COUNSELOR IS ADMISSIBLE.
APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ON OR BEFORE MARCH 15, 2024.
Scholarship recipients will receive $500 upon entry of each of his first and second semesters of college. Proof of enrollment is required.
THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS WILL BE MADE BY APRIL 15TH.
